Once upon a time, A strawberry met a star!
They discovered that they had many things in commmon, and began to chat
daily on the phone.
One day, the star asked the strawberry to come and visit him, in real life, however, the strawberry was very nervous and scared. For the strawberry was madly in love with the star!
The strawberry thought to himself, what if the star does not like me in real life - what then? It was hard to think about. But against all odds the strawberry decided to take a chance and go.
When the Strawberry finally met the star, the strawberry felt more attraction then before, however the star did not, and so his worst fears were realised.
The strawberry cried so much, he felt so very sad - but somehow he wasn't surprised. He was
just a strawberry afterall . It had always been some kind of impossible dream.
After that, the Strawberry (in time) managed to sustain a positive and
strong friendship with the star, and was able to return home with his head held
high.
He began to realise that the kind of attraction he felt towards the star was more of an admirable one, and that when he really sat and thought about it, it would never have worked anyway.
The strawberry was glad - for, A strawberry could never look right beside a shinning star - strawberry's don't bloom at night, they need sunlight.
Sunlight.
The strawberry took many wayward roads, some wrong, some to pass time.
And even though he knew the sun shone for him, and for everyone. He never imagined that the sun had a special place beneath it's light rays, for him.
He become good friends with the sun, a sun which continued to glow for him untill eventually he found himself becoming confussed.
This was simular to the star, but much more intense and much more powerful. And it wasn't purly admiration this time, it was something else.
Thats when the strawberry finally realised, that sunlight was - waiting for him, beside him, wanting him to grow within his light.
He found his ability to truly smile.
For a star, while it shone bright and stood high beside him, didn't give him what he needed. He'd have been a simple reflection. Where as the sun illuminated him, allowed him to grow, change, adapt, bask, breathe.
While the strawberry could never match up to the star, he was content standing and allowing it to glow, because, he had something much better all along. The sun. And she promised to shine untill the very end.
